The tie is one or the most visible piece of person real estate you have. In today’s world that equals potential advertising revenue. If people pay attention to your neckwear then why not sell it out. Most of the time that I wear a tie I have some type of agenda, now I just put it right out there for the world to see.
In the past you might wear a tie to show that you are part of a specific group or of a certain stature, some businesses still require us to wear a tie for the same reasons. I think we should be able to control what are ties are saying and now you can. -NR 2006
