If you walk around with a party going on inside your head and your just too shy to bust a move in public or if you like partying, but hate people your prayers have been answered.
The “porta-party” is the place you can relieve your need to party it up. Just go inside and plug in.
During the mid 2000's the marketing strategy was to show users dancing and having an amazing time in public with their earbuds. I looked around at people on the subway and city streets and observed something totally different. People appeared shut off and disconnected from their community. I wanted to illustrate how sad it would be to have a party alone so I paired the Ipod elements with the design of a Port-a-potty. The result was the opposite of my intention. Instead of using it alone users would jam as many people as possible into this confined space and have a quick dance party. I think we squeezed 12 people into it at one time.
The four editions went onto several locations Miami Florida, Culver City and San Diego California as well as Boston MA.
